The Home Expo Committee is responsible for bringing the Hamilton community the BBIA’s 2nd largest showcase event of the year.  The committee works for  five months to ensure the residents of the Bitterroot Valley will see the best contractors, subcontractors and suppliers available.

The Education Committee is responsible for bringing information and educational events covering all aspects of the building industry to the BBIA's membership.

The Membership Committee recruits new members, seek out member benefits and recognize the good work of those who belong in our association. The Membership Committee provides volunteer support to various other committees throughout the organization.

 

Tour of Homes . . . . . . . . . . . Flora Buoy, Chairperson

The Tour of Homes Committee is responsible for bringing the Bitterroot Valley the BBIA's largest showcase event of the year. The committee works for more than six months to ensure Bitterroot residents will be impressed with the caliber of craftsmen in our community.

 

Government Affairs . . . . . . .Travis Martinez, Chairperson

TheBitterroot Building Industry Association has developed a Government Affairs Committee to ensure that laws and regulations are reasonable and beneficial to the building industry and the general public. The committee represents the homebuilder’s voice at the table when decisions are made by elected and appointed officials.

At a glance, here’s what the BBIA does for you each day on the legislative front:

  • Continuously monitors city council and planning commission agendas in all area cities in order to respond proactively to issues concerning the building industry.
  • Reviews and submits comments on each city’s land use plan, subdivision and zoning ordinances and capital improvement plans.
  • Keeps positive lines of communications open by meeting with elected and appointed city officials.
  • Works closely with the Montana Building Industry Association to ensure that local industry interests are heard at the state level.

BBIA also seeks to educate members and the community on important issues pertaining to development. We will keep you posted of meetings and presentations that help you get more involved

 

 

 

Golf Tournament . . .  . . . . . .Willie Schrock, Chairperson

The Bitterroot Building Industry Association hosts a golf tournament every year.  This year, the tournament will be held in June 2010.  There are always lots of prizes courtesy of our wonderful members and a dinner following the tournament.  Registration forms are available on our website and at the office.
